Privacy

This is the short version, because there isn’t much to say. It covers this website only, not the ScopeKite product.

What this site does

• The page sets no cookies and writes nothing to your browser’s storage. (Your browser keeps its usual cache, and may restore what you typed if you come back to the page, as it does for any page.)
• It has no analytics and no trackers, and it loads no fonts, scripts, images or frames from anyone else.
• A security policy on every page makes your browser refuse to load scripts, styles, images or frames from any other site, and to send requests or form posts from the page to any other site.
• It asks your browser not to tell other sites which page you came from when you follow a link.

What this page can’t control

Every website is delivered by a host, and hosts commonly keep ordinary server logs — for example your IP address, the address you asked for, and your browser’s user agent. That happens outside this page’s own code, so this page can’t promise otherwise.

If you ask for early access

When you press “Send request”, what you typed is sent to our server over an encrypted connection: your email address (required, so we can reply), and your name, team and what you’d use ScopeKite for if you chose to add them. The server checks it and hands it to Resend, the email service we use, which delivers it to our inbox.

Resend handles your message on our behalf and keeps a copy of it, including what you wrote, in the United States; its own documentation says about 30 days on standard plans. We can’t delete Resend’s copy on request, but it expires on its own. This site keeps no copy and has no database. To stop the form being abused, the server keeps a count of recent requests per visitor, held only in its memory as a scrambled form of the network address, dropped when the hour is over and cleared when the server restarts. If JavaScript is switched off the form still works: your browser posts it to the same address.

We use what you send to reply to you and to decide who to invite. We don’t add you to a mailing list. Ask us to delete it and we will delete our copy, in our inbox.
